ScholarComp is building a durable record of student talent and a network connecting families to competitions, programs, recognition, and opportunity.
Academic competitions provide the initial network. Their results reveal years of student work, but the underlying data was never designed to form one system.

The problem
Competition results scatter across tournament platforms, websites, spreadsheets, PDFs, and documents. Organizations use different names for the same school. Event structures and award systems vary by activity and year.
A student can participate for six years without a single place showing the history of what they accomplished.
What eHabitats built
- A competition-results database
- More than 13 million results collected from sources that agree on very little: names, identifiers, event structure, award language, or file format.
- Entity resolution
- The same school can appear under several names and change districts or organizational structure over time. The matching system connects records that refer to the same entity while preserving confidence, provenance, and review paths.
- A rating model
- Competitions differ in field size, difficulty, structure, and selectivity. ScholarComp's hierarchical rating model places performance into meaningful talent levels across those environments. The model recognizes the full spectrum of achievement and development without reducing students to an ordinal ranking.
- An integrated product
- Public web and mobile experiences, competition-management software, identity, search, analytics, data pipelines, and the warehouse operate as parts of the same platform.

Current status
The results database, matching pipeline, rating system, data platform, and public experiences are in active development and deployment. Competition-management tools extend the system to the organizations that produce the underlying activity.
